The Sydney Diaries: Watson's Bay

I LOVE active-wear, I really do. It’s an easy, no-think outfit choice that makes getting ready a breeze and as Sydney weekends are more about exploring the outdoors rather than being hauled up with a hangover it has slowly become my constant go-to attire. However, I am currently trying to work out if the reason I think this is because a night out on the town is darn expensive in Sydney or, because I am nearly 32…? But, either way, it’s more lycra leggings than floral maxis on this side of the world – booooooo.

So, on my hunt for new beautiful Sydney places to discover, I put my foot down and said to my BF (not that he had a clue what I was talking about) I am not wearing active-wear! I am wearing my favourite dress and Converse combo and I shall hike in an inappropriate floral outfit and I shall not care. So off I set in my low-back dress from Zara and my Converse high tops, a leather jacket and cross-body and I had the best day.

Our Sunday trip took us to the beautiful Watson’s Bay. It’s Sydney’s oldest fishing village and is a gorgeous harbour side spot located in the fancy Eastern Suburbs – it’s BEA-utiful and well worth a visit. We enjoyed a cheeky gin in the chic Watson’s Bay Boutique Hotel (a great place to watch the sunset) and devoured fish & chips on the beach (which were a tad on the small side for our ‘healthy’ appetites TBH) before heading off on one of the walking trails to watch the sun set over the city. A dreamy Sunday date set-up, right!
